what to bring to Camp
· Warm bedding (The cabins have cots and mattresses)
· Warm clothes (Evenings might get very cold, sometimes in the low 40's.)
· FLASHLIGHT and extra batteries (There is no electricity in the cabins). NO CANDLES!
· MOSQUITO REPELLENT
· CASH money (NO INTERNET, We DO NOT take cards or checks)
· A sleeping bag
· Window covering for your cabin
· Pillows (Optional)
· Towels
· Toiletries
· Shower slippers / flip flops
· HATS for traditional hat day (On Wednesdays, everyone wears a hat)
· LABELS! Put your name on your instruments, electronics and other belongings
· Rain gear (just in case)
· Hard soled shoes or boots for dancing/dancing shoes
· Your own drinking cup
· Your own herbal tea bags. We will only have black tea bags.
· YOGA mats if you want to attend the yoga classes.
· Vitamins and Kleenex (suggested)
· Ear plugs for random sleep times!
· Hangers (there are closets in the cabins)
· Musical instruments
· Song words
· Recording devices with lots of batteries,
· Herbal tea bags (We usually have only black tea and very a few herbal tea bags)
· Pen/pencil and blank papers
· Women - "Feminine Hygiene Products"
· Consider bringing a night-cap to warm your head at night.
· First Aid Kit (We generally have one, but just in case bring your own)
· Prepaid phone cards or quarters (No internet or phone service, however there is a pay phone)
· Corn chips make a real good fire starter for the fireplace in your cabin.
· Swimsuits if you plan to go to water hole nearby.
· For TENTS, tarps to keep your tent dry if you like.

🧘 Yoga
Start your mornings grounded and refreshed with daily yoga classes at 8 AM. These sessions are open to all levels and offer a peaceful way to prepare for a full day of music and dance.
🥾 Hiking & Nature Exploration
Surrounded by redwood forests, camp offers access to:
Scenic hiking trails
Guided and self-led nature walks
Quiet spaces for reflection and outdoor learning
The natural beauty of the area is an essential part of the camp experience.
💦 Swimming
Cool off in nearby lakes, rivers, and swimming holes, a perfect escape during warm summer days.
Participants are encouraged to use caution, never swim alone, and closely supervise children.
🔥 Fire Circle
Late-night fire circles are a beloved camp ritual. Activities may include:
Drumming and chanting
Singing and sacred dance
Storytelling and shared conversation
Fire circles create a space for connection, reflection, and community bonding.
🎉 Camp Parade
On Friday evening before sunset, campers gather for a joyful parade through camp. Often in costume and accompanied by music and movement, the parade celebrates nature, creativity, peace, and camp family.
🚲 Bicycling
Biking is allowed in most areas of the forest, with some restrictions:
Not permitted in designated wilderness or restricted zones
Trails may be rugged and unmaintained, suitable for experienced riders
🌲 Meditation and Simply Being in Nature
Whether resting in a hammock, journaling under the trees, or sharing quiet moments with friends, camp offers endless opportunities to slow down, breathe, and reconnect—with nature and with one another.
