We have classes and/or informal opportunities to learn Turkish, Armenian, Greek, Persian and Arabic folk singing.


Registration - Fee Schedule    

Plan to arrive after 4 pm on Sunday, August 15. The 7-day workshop ends with breakfast Sunday morning, August 22. Fees include room and board, classes, parties, and all other activities. Part-time registration is possible on a pro-rated $140 per day basis.  

Adults (full-time):

  • ($690) Regular price. Deposit of $100 accepted until July 2nd. The balance is due by July 22. If you register after July 2nd Please send in the full amount.
  • ($640) if you register and pay in full by May 15.

Also we are offering a discount for group registration. (7 persons or more). Please contact Joshkun for more information,

  • ($600) Group registration price. Deposit of $100 accepted until July 2nd . The balance is due by July 22. If you register after July 2nd Please send in the full amount.

Children 6-14: ($280). Deposit of $100 accepted until July July 2nd. The balance is due by July 22. If you register after July 2nd please send in the full amount.

Children 2-5: ($150). No deposit but full amount due.REGISTRATIONS ARE ACCEPTED IN THE ORDER RECEIVED. CABINS ARE ASSIGNED ACCORDINGLY.

IF THERE IS SPACE AVAILABLE, REGISTRATIONS ARE ACCEPTED UNTIL AUGUST 15.

For those who wish to come part-time, the above due-dates are applicable.

Cancellations has to be made in writing before July 22. Refunds can be made (less $35 per person cancellation fee) until July 22. No refunds after this date under any circumstances. A $35 late fee will be assessed for balances received in the mail bearing an July 22 or later postmark. After July 22, no personal checks will be accepted; please mail in a cashier's check, money order or make an online payment with a credit card.

Beginners are welcome with dance and instrument instruction offered at all levels of experience.

Traditional dances of Turkiye, Armenia, Lebanon, Egypt, Iran and Greece are taught with each of our six dance instructors teaching twice a day. In the evening, dance parties with live music exclusively continue long into the night. If you're used to recordings, you don't know what an experience this can be. Rich selection of Instruments at Middle Eastern Camp
We offer small-group instruction on the following traditional instruments: saz and oud (lutes), riqq (tambourine), darbuka (hand drum), kanun (zither), nay (flute), violin, and clarinet, with Turkish, Armenian, and Arabic styles taught. We will offer daily classes for those who wish to participate in ensembles. In addition, we will have on-going sessions in maqam (modal theory) for those experienced players who wish to learn improvisatory techniques.
